Central Forest Products Association

Central Forest Products Association (CFPA) is a non-profit, CLSAB-accredited lumber grading agency, also accredited by ALSC. CFPA supervises lumber grading at approximately 30 mills in Saskatchewan and Manitoba with regular inspections and audits and provides training for lumber graders.

The November 24, 1966 Accreditation Agreement with CFPA recognizes them to supervise and grade stamp for each of the following classes of accreditation:

  1. CLSAB has accredited CFPA to supervise and grade stamp for each of the following classes of accreditation in accordance with CSA-O141 and ISO/IEC-17065:
    1. Visually Graded Lumber
      1. in accordance with CSA-O141 (May 23, 2023), CLSAB Regulations (October 23, 2024) and the NLGA Standard Grading Rules for Canadian Lumber (2025)
    2. Agency Certified Lumber
      1. in accordance with CSA-O141 (May 23, 2023), CLSAB Regulations (October 23, 2024) and the NLGA Standard Grading Rules for Canadian Lumber (2025)

  2. CLSAB has accredited CFPA to supervise and mark for the following class of accreditation in accordance with CSA-O141 and the CFIA-CLSAB Agreement:

    1. Canadian Heat Treated Wood Products Certification Program
      1. in accordance with the CFIA-CLSAB Agreement (October 31, 2014)
