Newfoundland and Labrador Lumber Producers’ Association
The Newfoundland and Labrador Lumber Producers’ Association (NLLPA) is a non-profit organization representing N-L commercial sawmill operators and timber harvesters. Its members account for more than 70 per cent of lumber production in the province and directly employ more than 1500 people. Incorporated in 1983, the NLLPA’s initial purpose was to seek accreditation in order to operate a grading agency. Today the Association also actively promotes and facilitates the economic development and viability of the industry.
