- Application For Accreditation
The initial and continuing accreditation of an Agency to provide lumber inspection services as a Member of the CLSAB shall be contingent upon the Agency providing competent, reliable, and adequate inspection services in compliance with the CLSAB Regulations, the CLSAB By-laws, CSA O-141, and ISO/IEC-17065. It is implicit in the accreditation requirements for all Agencies, that they demonstrate organizational capabilities to operate and maintain bona fide grade stamping services for the class(es) of accreditation applied for.
Any Agency which maintains inspection services covering the various softwood and/or hardwood lumber species and can demonstrate compliance with the requirements for accreditation as provided in the CLSAB Regulations may apply for accreditation. In making such application, the Agency shall agree to abide by the criteria, procedures and requirements established by the Canadian Lumber Standards Accreditation Board as specified in the CLSAB Regulations and as amended from time to time by the CLSAB Board of Directors.
Application fees:
- For an organization seeking initial accreditation to provide lumber inspection services a non-refundable fee of $2,500 must be submitted with the application.
- For an organization currently accredited by CLSAB and in good standing that is seeking accreditation for an additional program the fee is $1,500 per program.
An application for accreditation may be obtained by contacting the CLSAB at info@clsab.ca.
The CLSAB Dues Policy prescribes the dues payable by each CLSAB Accredited Agency and is provided to and reviewed with each applicant. Annual dues are based upon the total lumber shipments of the facilities for each Agency.
