CLSAB works with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency to oversee and deliver their Canadian Heat Treated Wood Products Certification Program. Each of the CLSAB accredited Agencies is recognized as a Service Provider under this program. Together, they provide inspection services to more than 400 heat treating facilities across Canada.

The program ensures that wood packaging and lumber are treated to internationally recognized standards for the destruction of insects or pathogens on the wood prior to shipment, avoiding the movement of pests from one country to another.
